Hi,
I am using Microsoft Visual C++ Express edition 2005 for writing a program. I needed an xml parsing library and i chose to use the Xerces libraries. The problem is that the header files are located in my D:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\include\xercesc directory. the search path for the include files includes the path till D:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\include so the compiler doesnt search within the xercesc directory and i am getting file not found error when i use #include<xercesc\utils\Platformutils.hpp... How to make the compiler search within the subdirectories of the included paths???
Also is the statement
#include<xercesc\utils\Platformutils.h...
correct??

I’m trying to get a reference to work. I made a library:
Class1.vb:

and compiled it into a dll.
I created a website and created a reference to the dll in Visual Studio 2005. ClassLibrary1.dll, ClassLibrary1.pdb and ClassLibrary1.xml were copied into the Bin directory.

I'm using VB6 and ASP 3 with SQL Server 2000 - trying to get xml but when I run code I'm getting "The Load Method for the DOM Failed" I checked all my database connections are correct all refrences seems ok my code is following

How do I use OPENXML in SQL Server 2000 with some elements that are repeated and some elements only contain attributes but others don't?
The problematic part of my XML looks like this:

When I use: SELECT *

whatever the last @url is gets put into every [image] column, same as the last @Value gets put into every field column.
If I use a 0 or 1 for my flags in my OPENXML statement, other fields aren't read right. I think I need help with the XPATH

I need 2 start fresh I HAD a website ran on yahoo. I took a template and re-wrote the code to suite my needs(iam new 2 playing with html) it worked fine and I could have used it.however I didnt like the look(it was a generic template)and I found one better.I also learned about ASP.NET and its use w/ members websites databases SQL servers.I then switched web hosting to godaddy yahoo doesnt support ASP I am using Visual Web Developer Express edition, I also have Microsoft SQL server 2005. I have set up a database on my webhosting, I have enabled TCP/IP in the SQL server configuration manager, yet I cannot connect 2 my database when I run aspnet_regsql.exe program..
right now this is all that is in my web.config file:

I have to do queries related to joins,fulltext search,xml data,stored procedure,transaction,view,index,managed code.
so i want to know can these queries run on express edition? for someone told me that express doesn't have full features.

I need to use SQL Server 2005 stored procedure with parameters as a datasource for my report.
I tried creating an xml file of a dataset that used the stored procedure as a datasource. I also tried using the report document's SetParameterValue() to set the parameters. However, the report does not display.
Can someone please walk me through the entire process? You can e-mail me if you like. I am at a new job; and, this is my probationary period.

I want to be able to add/delete documents, (mainly PDF's) allow my users to add documents in a members based service. What is the best way to index these documents as they are uploaded/donated/or already exist in certain folders? Basically I am looking for a program of some sort that allows me to index them into a SQL DB or XML file where I can then write code to allow searching of the indexed information and pull up the correct documents. The basic need is what is the best tool to use to index the content so I have a db to pull from in search queries based on keywords so I can show the most relevant documents to their search text. Is there a program or plug in of somekind that already indexes PDF's etc and places them into a db or xml format so I can use this info to create my own custom search script/results layout so they can open these docs if they find what they need?
