Interview Question in SilverLight

Interview Question :: Where can I find my dream job? (Programmer work remotely NON freelance/contract)

I have been in the industry for 3 years, .NET experience 3.5 ie(WPF/Silverlight/Surface(giant iphone)/ASP.NET). My dream job is to work wherever I want, get information on a task and just need to complete it with a group of people or solo. The trick is, salary! Yeah, so I will always be getting paid by a company and have something I can count on. Anyone know a company like this? Also I do understand contract work or freelancing is what this sounds like, but agian, I want to work for a company long term.

Thank you.

Have you thought about starting your own consulting firm? This seems like the best way for you to go. You are a lot like me in that I like to code.  I am too well versed in the technologies you've mentioned and I was looking to get into the same thing.  I quickly realized that, to start off, companies are not willing to allow 100% telecommuting at least in the beginning.

If you don't mind commuting for a few weeks or months first and then work out something with your employer, I don't see why you couldn't.  They may let you do it for 2-3 days a week. If this doesn't work for you, you may want to freelance or start your own consulting firm.  If you like coding for competition, check out TopCoders.com. You can win nice prize money if you really good.

Good Luck!
