I need some guidance.
I'm working as a SW specialist in a MNC here in India which is a BI/Analytics solution provider. I have around 5 Yrs of experience as a J2EE developer and have all certs from SUN all upto Sun Certified Enterprise Architect.
Economics has been my favourite subject although I'm not an expert or even an intermediate on it. I'm considering Economics + IT as a career option. What I would like to know is how MA in Economics will take me into IT with Economics as a domain? What are the application areas in IT which work within Eco as a domain?
I came accross Economatric as one of the application areas, but still not having much imagination as to what kinda application does it include. My bg. is B.COM, MCA, MMS (Systems Final yr. ) .
What do you think the applications are of Economics as specialisation which can be solved in IT?
Just to give some idea, there are applications which address Manufacturing, CRM, Banking as domains, what about Eco? |
