i am beginer in ASP.Net........i developed an ASP.Net site..which runs on local machine........but when i upload the default.aspx file along with web.config,App_Web_3nqdctht.dll and Default.aspx.cs
when i run the my website on internet explorer then a page display but this is not my default page which displays som errors like :
Server Error in '/' Application.

I am 36 yrs old, Msc in Comp Science from UK, graduated in aug 2005.Have work exp in UK for a local based marketing company in IT sector for 4 yrs.The nature of the work being database designing in Access/SQL/Oracle, international client liasion like Volvo, Incitroen etc-- that is, taking their requirements and specifications,SQL programming, preparing protocol and getting approval from them,in-house IT co-ordinating with all the depts, timely corporate web-site maintenance, data back-up and server maintenance/administration.
My previous 6+ yrs of software experience is related to C and unix, but was working as a Senior faculty & Centre Co-ordinator.
Due to some personal reasons, i came to india and looking for a job. Could you suggest in which sector of indian IT company does my resume fit? my friends say its Business Analyst.
Could you please advice on this? Also, from october 2006 till now i am doing .net course, any suggestions how to cover this gap?

I am not able to see the records, when i am creatring SQLDataSource in Visual Studio 2005 for oracle databse of my university database server. In the first steps, i create the database connection successfully. I tried the "Test Connection". It also work fine. Then i create the SQL Data source using this connection, it also work fine as, it bring the list of all the Database tables in the drop down box. I selected the required table. But when i press the "Test Query", it does not display any of the record. Although the table has 3 rows. What could be thr reason of this?

I shall be thnakful to all of youu, if you help me.

Hello all,

I've got a form that once submitted it stores the info to a database...it seems to work offline on my local testing server (i'm using dreamweaver by the way & EMS SQL Manager 2005 Lite for MySQL) now i want to publish it to my host....and i don't know how to do that !

I have normal html files and php files which i have published...but how do i publsh the database??? Is it as simple as just hitting publish like the way i usually do...or is there something else i should do before this? Does dreamweaver realise that the database is linked to the php files it needs to be published?

btw, my host supports php and mysql databases

I'm trying to set up Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition but I can't do so.Here 's the error message:
Set up has encountered a problem.There 's a problem in installing Microsoft SQL server express edition X86

Got 3 250 gb drives: C is for OS and programs, E (2 mirrored) is for data. Email and web site hosted by ISP (tel ADSL). Want simple Domain for user logon. SQL 2005 to be loaded. To be used to share application data (client/server). Previous experience 98, XP, NT4.0. Using D-Link router mostly running defaults. Looking for bare bones setup. Nothing fancy. Confused by all the server roles and new terms.

Does anyone know of an easy to use collaborative filtering tool? Ideally, that would be an add-in for Excel to work on an external data source on SQL Server.

Alternatively, any indication on how to code such an algorithm in Excel VBA or VB 2005?

The dataset consists of around 1,000,000 records.

I have a report which is rather complex with many tables, joins and subqueries using the with clause. It runs for 30 seconds in the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. However, when previewing in the preview tab in Visual Studio 2005 it takes 10x as long. The SQL is copied into the .rdl file verbatim. Likewise, when I published the .rdl file to the report server it is equally as slow. What could be the problem here and how could I fix it?
