I have Java installed on my computer and i was wondering if i could delete them and cause no harm to my computer. In control panel i have several programs of Java installed on my computer and I have no idea which on delete:

So I am trying to delete some programs so that my computer has more memory. What is Apple Mobile Device Service?... I don't have an iPhone or anything so do I need it? Also I have both Java(TM) 6 Update 7 and J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 11. Do they do different things that I need them both?

Can I remove any of those items?

I have already installed "Java for desktop version 6 update 5" in my pc. Do i need to install "J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 7" ?? and tell me what is its purpose ??

ok now my java is not working ... as u can tell.. i have dowloaded several java .. applets .. i guess that what u call them...i have the applets names listed here>(j2se runtime enviroment 5.0 updates (11,12 and 5) .. i have recenty tried to delete this java and now it says and i quote when i try 2 delete it " another version of this product is already installed. installation of this version cannot continue to configure or remove the existing version of this product use/add or remove programs on the controll panel" now im using add remove programs when this mmsg occurs , now ive had people ask me have you tried deleting each one indevidually and the answer is yes i have (in my desprate attempts i have clicked on the find button and gone in and typed java and deleted anything and every thing about java plz help me!!!

i have a lot of java updates installed on my computer:
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 update 4,6,9,10,11
Java 6 update 2,3,5,7
Java SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1
is it really necessary to keep all of them or can i uninstall the older updates? they each take up at least 119 mb, so it's really taking up a lot of space

? Im afraid if i do something will go wrong with the computer.
