Asp.net 1.1 Interview Questions and Answers 

Okay, I am a student. My assignment is to create A Web Application Project.

I am using VB.Net. I click file on the menu bar, then new, then project. When the New Project Dialog box opens I select Visual Basic Project and ASP.NET Web Application. In the location field, I type in the location the book says to type in.

Now The Problem, As soon as I click OK, I get an error messages.

The web server reported the following error when attempting to create or open the Web Project located at the following URL. http://localhost/Chapter6/Tutorials/WebA... HTTP: /1.1 403 Access Forbidden.

I click on the help menu and it states for me to contact the system administrator, doh, that is me.

So, I need to do my homework and I cannot :(
Please if there is anyone out there that can help me resolve this, I would be very appreciative.

Presently I am working with on .net (asp.net,C#. net) platform(Framework 1.1) from last 6-8 months in India.
Within this period I heard many statements from other software peoples like Microsoft.net technology is platform dependent and software company's has to pay large cost to purchase it from Microsoft (Which not in case java and c++).
After some time the IT companies may be avoid to develop software's in .net as they have open source code available as free.
Also java peoples get more salary package than .net.
There are always more requirement' s in java than .net
The .NET platform is not vendor neutral, it is tied to the Microsoft operating systems only.

I replied these peoples saying .net is faster then java (in speed performance issue).
.net has web services which are platform independent.
.net supports many languages including C# which is equivalent t

There are bunch of new controls to reduce line of code. like login functionality , impersonation , master pages etc.
No major change in the architecture of asp.net

I have a home-based business as a Slumber Parties consultant, have had no issues getting on the distributor part of the website - except since Sunday I can't get on our chat or bulletin board sections. The screen below is what comes up.
Have contacted tech support from Slumber Parties, they told me to delete cookies, put slumberparties in my trusted sites, and have the internet check for a new page every time I visit. None of it worked, I'm getting REALLY frustrated! Everything else seems in working order on my system.

When I tried to open my WebApplication it shows the following error.

What should I do?
I don't have any CD's of .Net and IIS.If I want to reinstall, from where did I get it free?

The background is:
I have an application developed on vb.net on asp.net version 1.1
I need to embed Workflow functionality, and need to do this in a cost effective manner, as this application is for resale.
I now have follow up questions:
Q1: As WWF is only available on ASP 2.0, I would have to compile my 1.1 application using ASP 2.0 is this straightforward? Are there any expected challenges?
Q2: When embedding the workflow, is it easy to give the “non technical - business users” the ability of defining new workflows?
Q3: When embedding the workflow, is it easy to give the “non technical - business users” the ability of defining (changing) routing of predefined workflows?
